“A year from now you will wish you had started today.” – Karen Lamb

A day can be easily filled with distractions. After a year, we’d look back in astonishment at how some goals just faded into thin air without us knowing. Things may have come up that demand our outmost attention, leaving us not much of a choice but to put off our goals.

Fortunately, an entrepreneur and goal-setting guru James Clear shared his knowledge of a better and almost foolproof approach to achieve every goal we set. But here’s the interesting part: it’s more on setting a system instead of a goal. For sure, every person has struggled with setting the perfect time to start something, and most importantly, sticking to it. Clear’s suggests that we focus on systems instead.

Unlike goals, systems are much like day-to-day habits that values the process much more than the result. By committing to a process, we can focus on the present challenges and success. Systems develop into habits and habits eventually make us more capable of reaching our goals. Clear argues that setting a system instead of a goal not only clears our vision but also steers us toward a long-term progress.

One of the reasons why starting often takes a lifetime is because we tend to make our goals overwhelming. Winning the championship almost sounds like an impossible dream, but practicing everyday as a system gently but surely prepares us for it. To quote Tom Landry: “Setting a goal is not the main thing. It is deciding how you will go about achieving it and staying with that plan.”

As it turns out, tinnitus and brain health are strongly linked.

Is because they are using something called "the wire method", a simple protocol inspired by a classified surgery on deaf people from the 1950s...
